The Beauty of Glass Gems

It all started when…

The idea of creating custom-designed, professionally-finished glassware pieces using an environmentally-conscious, yet artistic, approach came to be in 2018. 

Our in-house Artisan, D’Mon McNeil, was originally inspired by his mother’s refined eye for sourcing, and then custom finishing, unique decorative pieces and artifacts. Her special touch was evident in each item she chose to display in his childhood home. Growing up surrounded by exquisite frame treatments, specialized pottery pieces and exotic sculptures, D’Mon inherently understood and became passionate about finding ways to create, and recreate, aesthetically-pleasing decorative pieces. 

Over the years, D’Mon took a special interest in the process of transforming recycled clear glass, quickly mastering various refinishing techniques. His passion of giving existing glass pieces a second (and more beautiful!) life soon evolved into a one-of-a-kind line known as Glass Gems Glassware.

Inspired by a love for all things artistic, creative and ornamental, D’Mon hand finishes each Glass Gems piece drawing from personal inspiration and a life-long enthusiasm for splendid home décor.
